DDO Unlimited Headstart, Other News

D&D Online Head start
Dungeons and Dragons Online has finally launched its free to play with the head start portion starting today and everyone else getting in on the 9th! Now the head start is not open to everyone only those that are Very Important Players(former subscritpion holders) and those that participated in the closed beta. Luckily I was in the closed Beta for a week so I am currently downloading the client and will be login in sometime this evening after work. Now some of you may ask why all the excitement well for starters I really like how Turbine is running their free to play service mainly the fact that the game has all of the benefits of Guild Wars but is way more accessible, the cool part is that fact that I can play the game for free and have a lot of fun or if I enjoy they game a lot I can spend a bit of cash to gain access to an extra area or race I can also buy gear that will help me along but its nothing that can't be earned in game. In addition I can also go ahead and pay a standard monthly subscription fee and get access to everything just like any other game. The options are pretty much limitless. It also helps that the atmosphere of the game make you feel like you are actually playing D&D, you see all of the die rolls and there is actually a narrator when you go into dungeons. Needless to say my subscription to WoW will not be renewed when it is up again. If anyone is interested in checking out DDO follow the link.

Other News
I currently have only 4 more Malifaux miniatures to finish up and I will have all of the stuff I purchased at Gencon, on that note I will also have a fully painted crew for the Chicago tournament as well. The game is still number one on my liste of miniature games at the moment and I don't for see that changing for a while its just to well written and polished to pass on.
