Warmachine,Empire,X-Crawl

So, its been a few weeks since my last post and to be honest I with the holidays coming up I imagine that post are going to be few are far between. Anyway recently I have been a bit obsesses with Warmachine and for that matter Hordes, in the past 2 months I have been able to participate in two tournaments and many Sundays and Thursdays of gaming. Its nice to be able to go to game store and be pretty much guaranteed to get in a game. With that said I have also been doing some work on my Empire army and with some black Friday purchases I have picked up 16 more spearmen and some additional great swords. I was also able to fill out my unit of knights.

Along with my miniature gaming works I am also working on a X-Crawl conversion to the Cortex system to be played by some local players.  Finally I have some Uncharted Seas commission work on my painting table which is coming along.
That’s it for now I hope to have some new images uploaded soon of my Mercs which are coming very close to being fully painted.

Empire Project Update 004

And so grows the Empire! My shipment of bases and my Bartertown trade arrived on Monday and were quickly forced into action. I was able to get all my plastic Spearmen based and in the movement tray(you may notice 3 old school Spearmen in the back there are 3 more where they came from. I also finished up a detachment of Handgunners and Swordsmen. Finally I made the decision to use my Templars as Greatswords I just removed their. Below are some new images of the growing army.

Currently on the workbench for this army I have a unit of fighters that will be made up of Griffin Purifiers and Duelists lead by Phidias. I also have come to the conclusion that I am just going to have to break down and buy a box of Flagellants and of course a Steam Tank, these GW models are just to good to pass up and their is not much in the Confrontation range that matches up well(the Sessair models I was going to use just don't have the same look and feel).

Empire Project Update 003

Just a small update today, over the weekend my Warstore order of Rackham plastics arrived and withing a few minutes the miniatures have been liberated from the oversized packages, removed from the circular bases and in the case of the Knights of redemption attached to proper Warhammer fantasy bases. Today I am expecting a big shipment of bases as well as some items I recently traded for. Below are some WIP shots of the Knights, the images were taken with my phone so quality is a little suspect.

Empire Project Update 002

Work on the Empire continues, although at a very slow pace. On the positive side I am now up to 32 plastic griffin spearmen(and they are already painted to boot). Not much work to do on the spearmen just some minor gluing and modifying to get them to rank up properly. I will eventually prime and paint them however they are last on the list since they are already painted. I also worked on my griffin conscripts putting on there shields and fitting them into rank formation. That's about it for assembly I did put a bunch of stuff into the "simple green" to strip their paint and get them ready for inclusion in the army. Finally I ordered two spearmen attachment boxes and a Knight of Redemption attachment box from The Warstore.

Its kinda of weird but I am looking forward to Rackham plastics now... as easy additions to my Empire army. Now they need to get around to starting up the Dragon army so I can finish up my Cynwall-High Elf army.

Oh finally saw that my 20mm bases shipped should be here Saturday or Monday along with my stuff from The Warstore. I already have a sizable army for less than 100 dollars at the point.

Empire Project Update 001

Progress continues on my little project. Over the weekend I re-based 17 plastic griffin spearmen along with a small unit of swordsmen and even some fusiliers. I also built Sered and plan to use him as a War Priest I also re-based Mira and plan to use her as a Captain of the Empire. I am currently waiting on some more figures to come in based on some trades as well as some more 20mm bases. I will need to do some assembly on my fighters as well as figure out some more equivalences Below are a couple images of my progress.

The Empire Project

Well its been a few weeks since my last post and I can say that those weeks have been pretty much crap. I haven't been able to get much gaming in due to a lot of family related stuff. I haven't even working on any models or anything. I did get the last bits of my order from Wyrd in finally so I guess that's a positive oh yea I also picked up another year in age as well but that's neither here nor there. Anyway after a lot of thought and some gentle prodding from a few friends I have finally decided to put all the metal that is just sitting in my closet to use and get back into Warhammer Fantasy Battles however I am going to be doing it without buying GW models hence my new project, that's the goal anyway. I am planning to take my Age of Ragnarok sized Griffon army and re-purpose them as and Empire army. I am also looking at doing a full Cynwall, High Elf army that is going to take a bit of work though. To do this I am planning on augmenting my exiting metals with the Age of Ragnarok plastics(repainted of course) I should be able to put together a fairly descent army. With that said I am still looking for metals so if any of my old Confrontation buddies(or friends of Confrontation Buddies) have any Griffon(plastics included),Lion(plastics included) or Cynwall collections(I am open to all conditions would prefer to see complete models paint conditions is irrelevant) they aren't using and wouldn't mind parting with for a modest amount please drop me and e-mail or Facebook message whatever. I am just tried of seeing these awesome models just sitting on the shelf.

Oh yea almost forgot. I am also looking for a Dwarven Chariot to convert into a Steam Tank...figures I would through that out there.
